Happy to share I now have two new fabric collections with SpoonFlower.  These new collections are based on the rainbow and are bright shades and deep hues. The designs are fun and whimsical sketches with a less is more, minimal feel. I created my designs in mind for lush upholstery, draped dresses, tea towels and pouches. Happy Holidays

What are your traditions?

For me, first there is a little bread baking that started in October when all the sugar pumpkins come out and this is a new idea so we'll see if I can pull it off again next year. Still working out the kinks.

Next I have a evergreen workshop and we make wreaths and swags for everyone in my family's homes.  

Through my Oktober Florals side of my creative business I also design and sell wreaths and swags locally. It is called Wild Wreaths & Swags. 2024 prices are $50.oo each, local pick up only. I have extended the ordering date until November 22, 2024. Email me with WILD in the subject to place a wreath or swag order: oktoberstudio@hotmail.com. Take a peek at couple from last season.

Then we go back to baking granola and pumpkin muffins. This the granola receipe I have been following and I got it from Instagram.

 

  

  

 

For Christmas I would love to start and Eve Of The Eve tradition, but I have not yet worked that out. I am hoping for an early potluck appetizers with apple cider and cider beer and a movie.  Christmas Eve my holiday has been wrapping gifts and all day marathon of shows and movies. Christmas day is a brunch with my family. Boxing Day, December 26th, my tradition use to be a pub crawl and one day that will be back, but not yet. 

My next tradition is my favorite a New Years ritual of working out, pampering skin care, napping and movies and repeat it on New Years day with a family lunch of leftovers and snacks.

For this collection I painted with many shades of blue and purple to capture the color indigo. I also used black and Payne's Gray too. but with this blue case study Phthalo Blue is still my favorite shade of blue. I also painted mostly with a dry brush for optimal paint blending.

If you are following along my creative journey you might have noticed I go to many concerts and music is a muse. The painting "Singing All Night" is that feeling of being with people singing; at concert, in a car or at a party, etc. When the music moves you to dance and to belt out the songs together. I would consider that pure happiness.
