Dress Project 4

This is a bit behind in season, but what’s been going on with summer projects.
I have been having my art printed on Spoonflower fabric; silky faille & organic cotton knit. The summer took a turn and the projects progressed into not just one single dress but into apparel. I wish I could be a little better with timing, but here we go.

Then an extra project came up when
Spoonflower had a sale on new fabric. This sheer chiffon inspired kimonos.  I have made only 3 and here is the first. I was lucky enough to have documentarian, Dr. Susan Ericcson model for the day.

When I say I made, what I mean is that wonderful, seamstress, Diana Maldonado did the sewing. I have been so lucky to have worked with her on all the dress projects and now kimonos. She is a master!

Not long ago I joined Society6 a website for artists that print their art on products. I was very excited that Society6 offered leggings.

Stay tuned for the next 2 kimonos.
