Photos & Paintings

When I take photos I always consider it photography practice. Sometimes I see a scene or a pattern that sticks in my head and it may end up in a painting, which has happened from these photos. I did a flower exercise not long ago and with that still in the back of mind I combined flower design with the trowel style I have been woking with this summer.  Where I live there are beautiful sunflowers along the building. Last summer I thought the flowers were tall, but this season they are twice as tall. It is such a lovely sight to come home and see these blooms.
